Say Hello to Froggie’s Sole Girls

Hello, I’m Leigh, and I’m addicted to shoes!

Yes, shoes are my both my career and my passion – and an obsession since I was a little girl, when I used to listen to the sound of my mother’s high heels click-clacking along our 80s tiled floors, thinking I can’t wait to be old enough to own a pair of heels of my own!

A ‘Dad Rule’ stated: No heeled shoes until age 13. And I was terribly annoyed that those heeled shoes turned out to be block heels – so no click-clacking for me until I finally got my feet into stilettos in my twenties…when, for the sake of fashion, I’d wear sky-high heels that made my feet ache! Boy, have I learned a lot about shoes since then – like shoes can be fashionable and comfortable. I’ve also learned how much time and effort goes into making one pair of shoes, and that quality never goes out of style.

How many shoes do I own? I’m too embarrassed to let that number out the bag, but I will say that they are mostly Froggie genuine leather shoes. A girl can never have too many shoes, right? Well, that’s my story, and I’m sticking with it!

Working for the Love of Shoes

My love of shoes led me to my life’s work – after the birth of my two sons in my early twenties, I started a public relations job for Froggie shoes. PR led to handling point-of-sales for Froggie’s retail stores and stockists, which led to magazine advertising, then, social media, and now blogging here on Froggie’s South African Sole Girls blog.

But I couldn’t do it all, alone! Enter Ruby and Sandi – together we are Froggie’s South African Sole Girls. While I blog, and design posts for Froggie’s Facebook page, the ever-patient Ruby fields the many questions and queries that come in through Facebook. Stylist and fashionista Sandi handles our Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest profiles.

So whichever your favourite online channel – the Froggie Sole Girls have got you covered! All that’s left for you to do is follow the hashtag – #FroggieSoleGirls!

Until next time,
